Throughout my ten years of being an entrepreneur, i've come into contact with over a thousand Brides since deciding to specialize in Bridal. During my makeup appointments, I've been able to speak in depth with them about their overall wedding planning experience and one of the first questions I ask my Brides is How Do They Find Their Vendors.
I've found that these are the Top 3 Ways That Brides Find Their Wedding Vendors.
Social Media- Whether it's to change their relationship status or to ask for a referral for a vendor, social media plays a huge part in most Bride's wedding experience. There are two ways that the majority utilize Facebook. They either A) make a post asking people for recommendations or (b) use the social media to research different companies.
Here's my recommendation on how to use social media.
Search hashtags specific to your location. For example, if you are located in Atlanta and looking for a photographer, search #atlantaphotographer #atlphotographer
2. Wedding Websites-
There are a few websites dedicated specifically to marketing wedding vendors. Those websites are a good starting point and are very useful to someone who's planning a wedding.
The top 3 wedding websites are The Knot, Wedding Wire, and Munaluchi.
While all 3 websites are very similar and you may see a lot of the same businesses listed on all, you can find some of the most seasoned vendors in your area. All three websites are user friendly and you're able to message different vendors that may spark your interest. The best feature is you're able to see real reviews from real brides.
3. Google-
Although there's a lot of information on the internet, I still Google everything. Google, like many other platforms allows you to see reviews of the business and things that others have said about the company you're researching. A general search like Makeup in St Louis will give you a lot of options to choose from.
